I have been teaching preschool music for over 15 years,

Welcome Songs: Fun songs or activities to start music circle time, always includes a chance to say or sing each child's name.

Hand Motions: Songs or chants that use Hand Motions or Whole Body Movement

Songs that teach: Songs or activities with an emphasis on learning numbers, letters, colors, shapes, or manners.

Storytime: Our "cool down" in the middle of class. A list of some of my favorite books and stories for music class, with hints for making them work.

Action & Dance: Musical ways to get up and move! Builds listening skills, following directions, coordination and social skills.

Games: Musical games, a reward for the end of class. Helps children learn to follow directions and take turns.
